Brooktondale Community Center
A VIBRANT SOCIAL CENTER FOR MORE THAN SIX DECADES
Located in Brooktondale, NY, the Brooktondale Community Center (BCC), serves residents of Brooktondale and the surrounding Town of Caroline.
During normal, non-pandemic times the BCC hosts many volunteer-led social, recreational, educational, and charitable activities.

Fees: $200/week
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Our Camp
We are a play-based camp and emphasize outdoor play. We have multiple outdoor covered areas along with a playground and a large field for group games.
We offer daily: crafts, board games, outdoor activities, and 2 snacks. We schedule group play along with supporting self-directed play with supervision.
Campers provide their own lunches, while we provide 2 snacks daily.
Our staff to camper ratio is usually around 1:6 or 7 (NYS requires 1:10).
We have campers from 4 (must be entering kindergarten Fall 2024)-14 years of age; we do not break into age groups; everyone plays together.
We try to schedule outside visitors at least once a week; artists, gardeners, special programming.
We also schedule a group outdoor activity/game twice a day, morning and afternoon. Children join in as they feel comfortable, usually something they all are familiar with like kickball, Gaga ball, tag, etc.
We do not allow electronics in any form.

Dogs Must be On Leash at the BCC
Brooktondale residents who walk your dogs at the Community Center: please be aware that all dogs are supposed to be kept on a leash at all times while at the Center! We are not a dog park and do not allow dogs to run free! There are reported incidents of dogs attacking pets on adjacent properties because the dogs are not kept under control. If this continues, we may have to ban all animals from the premises! Please respect our neighbors and other BCC users.
